Create Service Widget.

In this video, I will be showing you how to create a service widget.

To do this click on config.

Then, click manage service widgets.

Here we can create our service widgets.

To create our service, click add service widget.

First we have the display settings.

You need to enter a service title.

For this example, we will create a MOT widget so for the title I will put MOT.

You can then add a description of what the service is, but this is optional.

Next, choose a service icon.

Then you can select a primary colour for your widget.

This colour will be used in the service widget for certain elements such as buttons, arrows etc.

Next is the service settings.

You have the option to link a job sheet template.

A linked template will automatically add the linked item(s) to any created service widget booking to save time for invoicing etc.

You can also add a set price.

Leave this box empty if the price varies.

Next, add a job time estimate.

The estimated time it takes to complete the service - this will be used to determine the available time slots and job sheet length.

Then, we have lead time.

This is the earliest date you can offer the service.

The widget will not show any time slots for dates before this.

This will override any lead time settings in the standard widget configuration.

Next, we have widget settings.

You have the option to make this bay specific.

For example, if you have a bay that is just for MOT’s, you can select your MOT bay from the drop-down box.

Next, we have include customer address fields.

This will force the customer to provide an address before making a booking.

This is recommended for any mobile fitting services.

By default, the customer address fields will not display.

Then, we have automatically send customer booking details.

When a service is booked via the widget, this will send an SMS message to inform the customer of their booking slot/order reference.

This will incur a credit cost per booking.

Lastly, we have single column week display.

By default, two weeks’ worth of dates will be displayed on the widget for customers to choose a date from depending on available space.

Select this option to only display one week at a time.

Finally, we have your notification settings.

These are the notification settings we setup in the main widget settings.

If you would like to change them, just click the manage notifications button here.

Once you are happy with your settings, click create service widget.

Now, if you scroll to the top of the page, you will see a new button has appeared that says add to my website.

When clicked, it shows the relevant script you need to add to your website.

If you are unsure of how to add the script, please contact our support team and they’ll be more than happy to help.

You can contact them by clicking this link.

If you would like to edit any of your settings, click the pen and paper icon here.

This allows you to update any of your settings.

To save your changes, just click update service widget.
