Service widgets and job splitting

New features

Standalone service widget

  • Service widgets can be created to enable bookings for specific services via external websites directly into the GMS.
    • Setup: Config → Additional config pages → Manage service widgets.
  • Widgets operate independently and can be customised with various settings such as:
    • Service information (name, description, icon, price)
    • Display settings (primary colour, single/multi-column display)
    • A linked job sheet template/line items (automatically applied to incoming jobs for easier invoicing)
    • Job time estimates and lead time in days
    • Bay limitations (e.g. limiting a service to specific bays only)
    • Customer notification settings (automated SMS confirmations)
  • A button is available on the service widgets page (“Add this to my website”) with setup instructions for external sites.

Job sheets / calendar

  • Job sheets can now be split into multiple linked jobs (e.g. separate TPMS check and oil change).
    • Split jobs via calendar view or the job sheet edit page → "Split job sheet".
    • Linked jobs are marked across the calendar/task board and are visible from any related job.
    • Generating an invoice from a split job sheet includes line items from all linked jobs. Linked jobs are made read-only afterward.
  • Job sheets with a "hidden from calendar" status (e.g. cancelled) are now also hidden from the daily report.
  • When creating a job sheet:
    • You can now search for existing customers by last name or phone number.
    • Searched vehicles with a single customer will auto-select that customer (can still be changed).
    • Removed unnecessary "job added" confirmation banner after job sheet creation.
  • Job sheets with a generated invoice will now display an invoice link in the daily report and job search results.

Vehicles

  • Vehicle lookup results now include:
    • Tyre sizes
    • Last V5C issue date (UK only)
  • Vehicle lookup during job sheet creation also shows:
    • Engine size
    • Fuel type
  • Vehicle detail page updated to reflect new fields and improved layout.
  • When linking a vehicle to an existing customer, you can now create/search for a new vehicle directly.

Invoices

  • Invoice export functionality added with templates for Quickbooks, Sage, and Xero.
  • Locations can now update their tax (e.g. VAT) registration status.
    • If no tax is offered, it is removed from the invoice display.
  • Job status is now automatically marked as "invoiced" when an invoice is generated.
  • Invoices can optionally display a Google review link.
    • Requires a Google Place ID – contact the Autowork Go support team to set this up.
  • Line items now show a “price each” field for better clarity.
  • Invoice payments made via the customer edit page now redirect back to that customer’s record.

Miscellaneous

  • All list-based pages (e.g. job sheets, customers) now use a standardised layout and include improved sorting and filtering options.
  • Live chat service added (top-right corner).
  • Dedicated "Contact support" page added with all support options.
  • Check-in app display has been refined for print friendliness (A4 recommended).
  • Customised shortcut icons now available for tablets and mobile (admin and check-in app).
  • Password entry now includes an option to reveal the typed password (login and “My account” pages).
  • Menu refinements:
    • Config menu has been consolidated into a single grouped item.
    • Mobile menu now includes a close button.
